Tactical Medic Advanced Skills Training (TMAST)

Tactical Medic Advanced Skills Training (TMAST) is an intense 40-hour program of instruction on advances in out-of-hospital combat casualty care skill sets that bridge the gap of tactical law enforcement and military operational capabilities with emphasis on the rural, waterborne, austere and remote environments.  Conducted at your training location via one of Tactical Element’s fully-equipped Mobile Training Teams (MTTs), the TMAST course is tailored to escalate the medical knowledge and skill-sets of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Advanced EMT (AEMT) level providers; comprised of classroom lecture and practicum, implemented through both low-fidelity and high-fidelity Realistic Medical Simulation Technology (RMST), real time (scenario based) simulation training exercises (STX).

TMAST is conducted in strict accordance with the most current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Guidelines as prescribed by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care; the Prolonged Field Care Guidelines and Working Group at the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center (JSOMTC); and the Joint Trauma System Clinical Practice Guidelines as prescribed by the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR).

Prerequisite(s):
Valid state or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Emergency Medical  Technician (EMT)  certification/license, or higher

Continuing Education:
Tactical Element is a Board Approved Educational Provider (50-17997) for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic (PMD) training by the State of Florida Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

TMAST (20-497479) awards 40 Continuing Education (CE) Hours applicable to the EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic Refresher Requirements in accordance with Recertification Requirements as prescribed by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Cadre:
Instructors assigned to the TMAST course are seasoned operational paramedics assigned to tactical law enforcement and military operations, possessing verified and documented experience in the delivery of care in all three (3) phases of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).
