Tactical Operations Series: Opioid Overdose (Narcan Administration) – Instructor

Opioid Overdose (Narcan Administration) – Instructor is a four (4) hour program of instruction that provides the law enforcement officer (LEO) certified at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level (or higher), the knowledge and skill-set to train non-medical certified law enforcement officers in the recognition of and opioid overdose, and nasal administration of Narcan (nalozone) as an antidote. This program-of-instruction provides an overview of Narcan (naloxone), Adult Learning Theory, and certification of the LEO/EMT as an Instructor, and provide the tools required to teach individuals to carry and administer Narcan (noloxone) Kits.

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), or higher
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP)

Tactical Element is a Board Approved Educational Provider (50-17997) for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic (PMD) training by the State of Florida Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

Tactical Operations Series: Opioid Overdose (Narcan Administration) – Instructor (20-565110) awards 4.0 Continuing Education (CE) Hours through CE Broker, applicable to the EMT (NREMT), Advanced EMT (NRAEMT) and Paramedic (NRP) Refresher Requirements in accordance with Recertification Requirements as prescribed by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Cadre:
Instructors assigned to Tactical Operations Series courses are seasoned tactical law enforcement operator/medics, or tactical medics in direct support of tactical law enforcement and military operations, possessing verified and documented experience in the delivery of care in all three phases of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC).

Instructor Training Jackets (ITJ) are maintained by Tactical Element and available for review.
